The TicoSAT DW6000 satellite Internet modem is a self-hosted and self-booting standalone terminal. The downstream is scalable up to 48 Mbps and up to 256 kbps for the return channel. The DW6000 satellite Internet modem provides an integrated broadband LAN solution to Windows, UNIX, MAC, and other platforms running IP over Ethernet. The DW 6000 terminal passes IP data packets to and from any IP device on the LAN and has the functionality of a typical IP router. It offers the HNS advanced Performance Enhancing Proxy (PEP) feature, which increases throughput performance and maximizes the user's experience and satisfaction. The DW 6000 terminal is designed to support content delivery, multicasting, music distribution, distance learning and training, digital media streaming, file transfer, Internet and VPN/intranet access.


The DW6000 satellite Internet modem is the easy way to get online instantly! With no software to load, the frustration of dial-up is a thing of the past. If new software for the modem becomes available, the DW 6000 will automatically update itself, keeping you cruising through the Internet at top-speeds, all the time!

Equipment Details:
The DIRECWAY DW6000 systems consists of a satellite antenna, matching integrated outdoor electronics, the indoor unit, cabling, mounting hardware and installation. If the Internet connection is to be shared, the DW6000 can perform this task by connecting directly to a hub, switch, router (including wireless), etc. Please visit our networking satellite Internet section for more information.

The DW6000 can be ordered with one of four satellite Internet service offerings.

When ordered with either single or multiple Static-public IP addresses, no NAT or DHCP is performed, requiring an additional router solution. TicoSAT recommends that you order our 4-Port Mini-router (Linksys router) if you select a Static-public IP address and wish to share the connection with a network or multiple PCs.

• Outdoor Dish Antenna w/transmitter, LNB
• Indoor Unit model DW6000
• Standard Professional Installation in a residential building.

• Standard mounting hardware for either a penetrating roof mount or a side mount
• Dual 75' run of RG6. (Cable runs exceeding 75' will incur additional charge of $1.00 per foot.)
• Ground wire and grounding block.
• A maximum of 1 wall penetration, connectors and faceplates. (Additional wall penetrations will incur an extra charge.)
• The installer will verify the satellite link is active.
  (Installers are not responsible for connecting the service to the client's machines.)
• Customer responsible for loading DIRECWAY software on computer, and running Web setup.
• TicoSAT will have a Hughes Network Systems Certified installer contact the customer directly to make arrangements and schedule the installation. Any work in addition to the items listed above will be at an extra charge payable directly to the installer.
